Privacy Policy

Ray D.O (“the bot”) is a hobby project that plays genre radio stations in Discord voice channels. This page explains what information it handles. The short version: very little, and none of it is sold or shared.

What the bot can see

The bot only asks Discord for two things: which servers it is in, and who is in voice channels (so it knows when to join and leave). It does not read your messages, and it does not record or store any audio from voice channels.

What the bot stores

The bot keeps a small log only when you use the voting or suggestion commands (/upvote, /downvote, /suggest). Each entry contains:

• your Discord user ID and username
• the ID of the server you used the command in
• the station and song you voted on, or the text of the suggestion you typed
• the date and time

Server and user IDs are also handled temporarily while the bot is running (for example, to remember which station a server is tuned to). That state is not used for anything else.

How it is used

Votes and suggestions are used to decide which songs to keep, replace or add to the stations. They are reviewed by the person who runs the bot. They are not used for advertising, profiling or any purpose unrelated to improving the stations.

A summary of votes and suggestions is shown publicly on the votes page. It contains only counts, song titles and the suggestion text itself. It never shows names, user IDs or server IDs. Suggestion text is shown as typed (links are removed), so please don’t put personal information in a suggestion.

Sharing

Nothing is sold, rented or shared with third parties. Data is stored on the bot owner’s own equipment, not with an analytics or advertising provider. Discord itself handles your account under its own privacy policy.

Retention and removal

Vote and suggestion entries are kept until they are deleted. To have the entries tied to your Discord account removed, contact the address below with your Discord username and we will delete them. Removing the bot from your server stops it from receiving any further information about that server.

Children

The bot is only available through Discord, which requires users to meet its own minimum age. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above will be updated.
